Our BaBy GiRl!!!!

For those of you who haven't heard, we finally got out baby!! She was born on Wednesday!!!  She weighed 7 pounds 1 oz and is 21 inches long!  We are so happy to have her here!!So, I have to begin from the beginning of how this precious baby came in to our lives! (And I'm calling her baby because sadly we have not decided on her name yet!) So, about a month and a half ago we were contacted by our agency regarding a baby. We prayed, talked about it and decided that we wanted to adopt this baby!!! Things have just fallen into place since so we could come and get our baby girl!!!

Originally the agency told us to be ready any day! Well.. that any day turned in to weeks. We had made arrangements with work and everything so we could take off in October!! Well by Monday of this week, November 14, we still didn't have a baby. But on Wednesday we finally got the call!  So, we booked tickets and headed to North Carolina!!

Day 1- Thursday November 17, 2011 at 6:00 AM
Waiting to leave SLC so we could go get our BABY!!!

My mom and dad came with us!!
Once we landed in North Carolina we had to wait for our Case Worker to get everything together so we could get all the papers signed and meet our sweet baby! While waiting, we got the call letting us know that our sweet baby was admitted to the NICU. She hadn't been eating and was very stressed. This was one of the scariest, hardest things I've been through! Waiting for the birthmom to sign and finding out what was going on with the baby. But...

Finally we got together, my baby's birthmom signed the papers and we signed! She is officially ours!!
Then we got to go see our sweet baby!

Holding our baby for the first time!!!

She's already a daddy's girl!

Day 2 in the NICU - November 18  *she was holding her temperature on her own so they moved her into a crib! This was also her first outfit!!!

Proud grandparents!

I hope everything is going well. We went through that with Sawyer and it was one of the hardest things I have ever been through. NICU is no fun, but I'm sure grateful they have professionals that know what they are doing. I hope the baby gets doing better soon. You will be in our prayers. Congratulations on becoming parents there really isn't anything better in the whole world. It's amazing the things our Heavenly Father blesses us with.

Congrats Amanda!! I am so happy for you. Adoption is the BEST way to have a family. All three of our children are adopted. Our greatest trial of not being able to have a family, has turned out to be our greatest joy! Welcome to the best time of your life. You are going to be a fabulous mother and I am so thrilled that you are in the "adoption club." Miracles Happen!
